Would you like to serve your community? Are you excited about our future? Well, you’re in luck! Unitarian Universalist Community of Charlotte (UUCC) is once again recruiting candidates for the Board of Trustees (BOT). Every year, 3 of the 9 BOT members conclude their 3-year term, and 3 new members are elected to replace them at the annual meeting in June.

Last year, the bylaws were amended to allow UUCC members (of 2+ years) to nominate themselves. So, if you would like to help guide our community by becoming a board member, please contact Laurie O’Sullivan (laurieosullivan100@gmail.com), Greg Schropp (schg02@aol.com), or Shandra Stout (shandrananette@gmail.com). They have generously agreed to be our recruiting team this year. Their job is to ensure that there are at least 3 candidates and to provide information about what is involved with BOT membership.

The nomination period will conclude on May 14 so that the community can get to know the candidates before the annual meeting. By that date, you will be asked to provide a snapshot of yourself and a brief bio that will be published in Currents.
