Alesia is our lead administrator and directs our administrative function. She serves as staff liaison to the Building and Grounds, Finance and Security Teams, to the Open Door School Managing Team and to the Board of the Memorial Endowment Trust. She is a member of the Coordinating Team.
Alesia is from Augusta, Georgia, and holds a B.A. degree in Sociology from Augusta State University and a M.S. in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland University College.

Avery provides administrative support to the professional staff, congregational teams and program areas, and in service to the larger congregation. In addition, he provides logistical support for the general workflow of the UUCC’s office and the usage of the property. He also assists with creating and disbursing UUCC communications.
Avery is a Charlotte native and grew up in the Unitarian Universalist Community of Charlotte. He earned his B.A. degree in Journalism/Mass Communications from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Belinda provides administrative support to the Lifespan Religious Education program and director. She oversees UUCC communications, including maintaining the website, updating the Currents newsletter, and serving as the staff liaison to the Communications Team. She also works on financial tasks including tracking contributions and deposits as well as accounts receivable.

John Herrick, our Director of Music, oversees all aspects of the music program, including staff management and selection of music and musicians for Sunday services and special musical events. He is responsible for the program’s vitality and growth and continuing relevance in our active UU faith community.
John has degrees from West Chester and Temple Universities in Pennsylvania, with additional studies at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. He was credentialed as a music leader by the Unitarian Universalist Association in the spring of 2011 and served as Board Treasurer for the Unitarian Universalist Musicians Network from 2009 to 2010. In addition to his work at the UUCC, John is a collaborative pianist and piano teacher at the Charlotte Latin School. When not immersed in music, he can be found hiking, biking, gardening or just enjoying the great outdoors.

As Director of Member Relations, Kelly works with the Membership Team to help visitors feel welcomed and learn more about our congregation. She helps to guide prospective members through the joining process and assists current members in finding ways to use their talents and skills to make positive contributions to our congregation. Kelly also supports the Stewardship Team by communicating with members about the pledge process. Kelly is a member of Black Lives of Unitarian Universalism (BLUU), Diverse Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural Ministries (DRUUMM), Liberal Religious Educators Association (LREDA) and currently serves on the board for Unitarian Universalist Association of Membership Professionals (UUAMP).
