Congregational Care Team member job description
Description: The members of our Congregational Care Team are the eyes and ears of a caring congregation. They work to respond compassionately, constructively and reasonably on a case-by-case basis to those needing support or assistance. Some of those responsibilities may include visiting members in their homes, delivering food, sending cards, organizing Memorial Service receptions, delivering prayer shawls and celebrating the birth of a baby with a baby blanket and meal.
Time commitment: One meeting a month, usually after the second service; regular communications via email; outside of Team communications, other time commitments will depend on the role the member chooses to take.
Member Attributes: Members need to have demonstrated a commitment to the UUCC, timely responses to needs as they arise, compassion for members’ individual situations, an ability to work collaboratively in problem-solving, and the ability to maintain confidentiality as needed.
Other volunteer opportunities:
The Congregational Care Team could not do its work without the help of its many friends. You may contact these members if you’d like to participate in any of these services.
