For the ongoing opportunities to discuss the changes to the UUA bylaws, known as “Article II,” we will have our next (and last) session on May 12 at 11:30 in the Bernstein Room. We hope many of you will join us! This session will be centered around three of the values (Justice, Equity and Generosity)
This month, we had another great discussion session on the UUA Bylaws changes to Article II. We looked at the layout of the proposed values and two new values that have been put forward as amendments. We hope you will look at the information available and come back and look again as we prepare to vote on the changes. Engaging in this work is important to our faith and faith identity.
In December, Director of Lifespan Religious Education Paula Gribble introduced a new friend to the congregation, Jenson JETPIG (they/them). They were invited to join us to help us learn about the proposed values in Article II of the UUA Bylaws.
Even if you did not participate in the Beyond Categorical Thinking workshop on December 2, there are lessons to be learned about how we interact with and evaluate people who may be different from us.
What does it mean to be connected to the UUA? Rev. Lisa considers the complex network of organizations, congregations and relationships for which we often use the the acronym “UUA” as shorthand.
We’re pleased to share the news that the final draft of the proposed changes to Article II of the UUA bylaws is available for study and review. In the next six months, your staff are looking forward to providing a variety of opportunities to review, reflect on, and consider the proposed changes.
