At Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, our Jewish siblings blow the shofar, a trumpet made from a ram's horn, as part of their religious observance. Historically blown on every new moon, on important occasions, and as a call to battle, its role is now more ceremonial and symbolic. The shofar is a crying voice, an announcement, a praise, a call to attention. What are the multiple shofar sounds calling us to imagine for our shared work in repair of the world? What are the things we each can do, here and now, in our own little places in a world of others?
