GreenFaith of UUCC, a partner organization of the Intersectional Justice Team, will offer an opportunity to consider your household impact on the interdependent web of life by calculating your household carbon footprint. As UUCC prepares to update our building’s energy audit this spring, it’s a good time to look at our own energy usage along with other expenses that contribute to carbon emissions.

Join us after the service on Sunday, Feb. 11th in the Conference Room from 11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. A light lunch will be provided. RSVP to linn.martin7@gmail.com.

We will use The Nature Conservancy’s Carbon Footprint Calculator for this workshop. Please review the website ahead of time so you have an idea what information you’ll need to calculate your carbon footprint. Categories include travel, home, food, and shopping. You can also estimate those costs based on your household income minus utilities costs, transportation costs and savings to get ballpark amounts.

Please bring a laptop if you have one, however, we will have extras. The workshop will be facilitated by Margie Storch and Roger Coates.
