Knowing that, as a congregation, we will only be connecting virtually throughout the month of January, here are some ways to enjoy the company of others in this community in the coming weeks.

Whether you are deeply connected here or just beginning to get to know a few people, we hope you’ll take advantage of one or more of these social opportunities!

Meet Your UUCC Pen Pal

Finding a letter that is actually written to you in your mailbox amidst the advertisements and bills tends to lift our spirits.

Sign up HERE and we’ll connect you with a pen pal from the UUCC. You’ll be provided with a few prompts to get your letter-writing started. You’ll exchange letters at least twice and have more to talk about the next time you meet in-person.

Trivia and Brain Teasers

Thursday, January 27 at 7 p.m., join us for some mini group games. If you like to tickle your brain and are in need of some silly socializing, this will accomplish both. We’ll assign you a great team of fellow UUCCers so you can play to win!

To participate, please sign up HERE by Friday, January 21.

The game playing portion will take about 45 minutes and you are welcome to stay and socialize after that or call it an evening.

Play Virtual Chess

Even if you’re no Beth Harmon, get on out there into the world of chess and enjoy a virtual game with someone else in our UUCC community.

Contact Chip Dickerson at uucc.chess@gmail.com to take part.

Virtual Social Supper

Would you like to get to know people by breaking bread together in a small group setting without leaving your home? Consider joining a Virtual Social Supper group.

Participants had a delightful experience this past year sharing dinner and conversation over Zoom. Everyone makes the same recipe at home then joins on the screen to share in the same meal and some get-to-know-you conversation with others.

If you’d like to participate, sign up HERE.
