Growing up in a faith that encourages me to find my own truth, I have searched through a number of sources to try to define that truth. I found solace in philosophy and moral/ethical ideas of the past, including ideology, world views, personal intuition, and experiences. Reconciling these sometimes contradictory ideas formed how I view and process the world. Arbitrating between conclusions based on intuition and instincts and conclusions based on sound logic and presuppositions has been at the foundation of my truth. This process has helped me believe and accept some long-accepted beliefs.
