It is hard not to notice that the Memorial Endowment Trust Grant Awards are having a big impact at the UUCC. In the month of November 2025, three major grants were executed that have greatly affected the operations and aesthetics of the UUCC.
For one, new cameras were installed in the Sanctuary, which are now providing much better quality video for those who watch our services via live stream. We replaced the two existing cameras with 4K cameras and added one additional 4K camera to enhance the visual experience of our online services. The cameras offer better quality and range, and we are able to film throughout the Sanctuary at every angle. A very special thanks goes to Terry Draper who provided his engineering expertise while coordinating the installation, ensuring everything was functioning properly, and developing the training guides. Kudos, Terry!
Next, new ovens were installed in our main kitchen in time for our annual Thanksgiving potluck. These new ovens have been a much needed addition as our former ovens were more than 25 years old and didn’t offer the functionality needed for our community today. In addition, we were also able to add a high voltage outlet to that space that will allow for the use of additional appliances in that space that we have not been able to use before.
Finally, if you have entered the UUCC office area, you will have seen that we painted the entire office suite. This was a much needed refresh. Our office area was last painted in 2011 (very special thanks to Loyd Dillon who helped design that effort)! The new colors were selected to be more in line with our current branding and to offer a fresh look. We are very grateful to Althea Clark and Judy Love for helping with the color scheme. Additional thanks go to Althea Clark who oversaw the painting during the Thanksgiving holiday. Not only did she coordinate the work, she was also there every step of the way to ensure the project was done correctly and on time. Thanks, Althea and Judy!
