Each year, the Memorial Endowment Trust of the Unitarian Universalist Community of Charlotte requests applications from Groups and Teams within the UUCC for worthy projects. We seek to fund initiatives that might not fit cleanly into our operating budget but otherwise support our Community’s Vision and Mission.
The Endowment has $48,900 available for potential grants for the 2025-2026 congregational year. The Trustees invite recognized UUCC Teams and Groups to apply for projects that meet the grant program’s guidelines. A detailed description of the grant guidelines can be found here MET Grant Program. We invite you to read the grant guidelines carefully. Please include any details or bids that accurately estimate the costs. On the MET Grant Program site, you will also see examples of previous awards made by the Endowment.
Before you apply, please remember you should expect to complete your project within a year, and it needs to be sponsored by an official Community Team or Group. Over the next two months, staff members will work with their teams and groups to shore up potential grant proposals. Applications are due by Friday, March 31. You can send applications to met@uuccharlotte.org or place them in the MET mailbox in the UUCC’s offices.
In June, the grant awards will be publicly announced at the annual Congregational Conversation. We look forward to receiving your grant application.

Ellen Holliday (Chair), Jane Gorman, Jasmine Hathaway, Rita Heath-Singer, Tom Nunnenkamp, Karen Parker, and Randy Whitt
