We are looking forward to offering a number of small-group, in-person gatherings on our UUCC grounds.
While with this week’s directive from the Mecklenburg County Health Director in mind, we will delay the start of these offerings, we are eager to continue to find ways to gather together safely in addition to our ongoing virtual offerings. We are also committed to following CDC guidelines and government directives to ensure these opportunities are as safe as possible.
As soon as this directive is lifted, we hope you will join us for ongoing opportunities to gather socially on the UUCC grounds.
The first Friday possible, and until further notice, you can join us for Friday Evening Firepit Gatherings. Read on for more information and stay tuned for further opportunities!
Friday Evening Fire Pit Gatherings
Because we have all missed seeing each other, and because there is something magical about sitting around a fire with friends, our Community Building Team is helping to coordinate a series of member-led Fire Pit Gatherings.
Every Friday join us from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on the UUCC grounds, start date TBD.
Here are a few basic guidelines:
- We will sit around a fire pit, socially distanced, and wearing masks.
- The number attending cannot exceed 10 (to maintain spacing), so please make a reservation early by going to the Signup Genius link we will provide when the start date has been determined. If all the spaces are filled, sign up for the following Friday. Please also indicate on the sign-up form if you are able to contribute some firewood.
- Everyone should bring their own chair, beverage, snacks, an instrument (optional) and best stories.
Watch this space for updates, including the SignUp Genius link when it becomes available.
