How Charlotte Got Segregated

Dr. Tom Hanchett, retired staff historian for Levine Museum of the New South and author of Sorting Out the New South City, will discuss how Charlotte became a big city, delving deeply into the surprising story of how our city became segregated, both by race and class. Dr. Hanchett recently released the new edition of his book, first published in 1998.
