Understanding & Healing Our Climate Crisis
Thursdays, Sept. 22, 29, Oct. 13, 20, 7 – 8:30 p.m., Freeman Hall
In conjunction with the UUCC Intersectional Justice Team and Engagement Group, AE/SD will host a four-part series entitled Understanding & Healing Our Climate Crisis. Meetings will be held in person on Thursdays: 9.22, 9.29, 10.13, & 10.20 • 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Freeman Hall.
The first three sessions will offer excerpts of the PBS series, “The Power of Big Oil,” to help us fully understand the fossil fuel industry’s strategy of casting doubt and delaying action on climate change. We will share key takeaways from past UUCC Environmental Justice Core Groups and brainstorm best ways we can take action going forward. The fourth meeting will launch UUCC’s engagement to become a Greenfaith Circle, a global, multi-faith movement to resist the planet’s destruction and to create a sustainable, just future. https://greenfaith.org/
