This true story by author Joshua Davis follows four Mexican-American teenagers (some who are undocumented) struggling to find their place in the United States. An unlikely robotics competition becomes the focus of the narrative, but the story covers a lot of ground. By describing how these teens came together, Davis offers readers a succinct history of immigration and a micro-lesson in Arizona politics. Please join ARESD team member Joe Huff to discuss this book, described by one reviewer as “an unforgettable tale of hope and human ingenuity.” To reserve your spot and receive a Zoom invitation, please send an email to aresd@uuccharlotte.org by Wednesday, April 14.
