The Adult Education and Spiritual Development Team (AE/SD) is pleased to offer a new Discovery Circle, beginning Tuesday, November 1, at 7 p.m.  The circle will meet in person at 234, the first Tuesday evening of each month, through May 2023.

What Are Discovery Circles?
Discovery Circles are small groups, typically limited to 8-10 members, who meet regularly for spiritual exploration, reflection, personal sharing, deep listening, and service.  Topics for reflection, offered through short readings, often include personal, ethical, or spiritual issues.  Forgiveness, balance, and tolerance as well as lighter themes such as color, humor, and even breaking bread have all been topics in years past.  Emphasis is placed on sharing feelings and thoughts based on personal experiences rather than opinions or analyses.

Trained facilitators lead the Discovery Circle monthly meetings and help guide the discussions within a basic structure.  Circle members are expected to commit to attending meetings, practicing strict confidentiality, participating in a service project, and seeking to connect in a meaningful way with other members of the UUCC community.
