Fun for All Ages at Crafts With Santa

All ages are invited to get into a festive mood with UUCC friends at Crafts with Santa on Saturday, December 10, from 2-4 p.m. There will be fun projects for children and adults alike!

Using Our Universal Translators

Our religious pluralism means that Unitarian Universalists hold many different beliefs and understandings of the sacred, and we sometimes get tripped up by words whose meaning we don't know or agree on. Good thing we all have a Universal Translator we can use to help out! There will be special music from Jessica Borgnis, Harley Quinn, and Eric Wilhelm.

UUCC Offices Will Be Closed December 26-30

UUCC offices will be closed Monday, December 26 through Friday, December 30. During this time the staff will be available for building emergencies, financial tasks, and congregational care requests.

Jabberwocks Poetry Group

Jabberwocks welcomes poets who want feedback and who strive to improve their work. We meet on the third Friday of the month, 10 a.m. -12 p.m. on Zoom.

Open Mind Book Club

The Open Mind Book Club will be meeting on Monday, January 2 at 7 p.m. via Zoom when we will discuss Born A Crime, Stories from a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah.

Seniors Share

The SENIORS SHARE group meets via Zoom on the first Wednesday and in person on the third Wednesday.

Healing Threads: A Prayer Shawl Ministry

Meet to knit or crochet together as a spiritual community and to bless the shawls we complete. Shawls are given to Unitarian Universalist Community of Charlotte members with a significant hardship or loss and to KinderMourn.  Meets 2nd Monday at 7 p.m., offsite. Lotus Path Group

We study and discuss various types of Buddhism and related Eastern spiritual paths, considering how they relate to us today. Each meeting begins and ends with meditation.

Ideas on How to Reduce Plastic Use

In a recent class sponsored by the Adult Religious Education and Spiritual Development (ARESD) team, participants watched the PBS Frontline documentary Plastic Wars. Check out these ideas on how you can get started on using less plastic.

Middle School Youth Group

6th-8th graders are invited to be part of the Middle School Youth Group 2nd Friday evenings 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Programming for Children and Youth 2022-23

We offer weekly classes at 10 a.m. (9:45 drop-off) for children and youth aged 4 years through 12th grade and provide a warm nursery space for our youngest children (6 mos - 3 years).

It's time to update your children's annual registration in the Nursery and/or Children and Youth Religious Education Program (CYRE) for the 2022-23 program year. We are in the midst of planning to return in the Fall with dynamic programming and don't want anyone to miss out. UUCC membership not required.

September 18, UU Justice NC is launching a North Carolina 8th Principle Learning Community! This monthly Community of Practice gathering has been created for individuals who are playing a leadership role within their congregation around adopting or living into the 8th Principle.

An Update from the Transition Team

The Unitarian Universalist Community of Charlotte's (UUCC) Transition Team is a team of UUCC members working closely with Rev. Lisa during the Interim Period to help guide the congregation through the process. A significant part of the Transition Team’s work is communicating with the congregation, specifically educating folks about what to expect and reporting progress/outcomes/recommendations. Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes
