April Community Sunday – Spring: Rebirth, Recommitment, Reconnection
This time of year is one of new life and Spring Cleaning. Time to clear out the cobwebs and make way for new connections. On this Sunday, the day before Earth Day, we invite you to ponder your connections to the Earth and to each other. We will be offering 4 activities: Making Decisions with the Planet in Mind, Sustainable Landscaping, Community Connectors, and Sound Meditation.
Credo: A Personal Spiritual Journey
Our next credo presentation will be Sunday, April 21, 11:30 am in the Bernstein Room and on Zoom. Dave Warren will present his journey by highlighting a handful of “re-thinking” processes. Dave volunteers at UUCC as an usher and coffee service provider and is a member of the Ministerial Search Team and Intersectional Justice Team.

Fred Small, UU Minister and Singer/Songwriter will lead the Sunday service on April 7, we hope you will attend to hear a bit about the history and present of beloved song “Everything Possible” (It’s #1019 in Singing the Journey – our teal hymnal). The song has recently been updated for gender inclusiveness and made into a lovely picture book with the same title. Rev. Minister Search Team March Update: Final Phases
We, the UUCC Minister Search Team, are just days away from a milestone we have been working toward for the last nine months. On March 28, we will be able to offer the role of Settled Minister to one of the candidates we interviewed. We can tell you now that we have completed the process of “pre-candidating” with three well-qualified Unitarian Universalist ministers, who were chosen from a significantly larger pool of applicants whose names we first received on January 2.

Life RE-examined: Another Look at Article II
This month, we had another great discussion session on the UUA Bylaws changes to Article II. We looked at the layout of the proposed values and two new values that have been put forward as amendments. We hope you will look at the information available and come back and look again as we prepare to vote on the changes. Engaging in this work is important to our faith and faith identity.

UUCC Pet Policy
Pets make our lives better in so many ways. Pets are also a responsibility, and their presence at our facility presents challenges for people for various reasons that we must respect. Unitarian Universalism is an inclusive faith, and the presence of pets excludes the interests of those who have allergies, fears, or phobias surrounding animals. Therefore, with the exception of service animals, no pets are allowed in the property at 234 North Sharon Amity Rd.

The UUCC Settled Minister Search Team thanks everyone who participated in our congregational survey – as well as our feedback and focus groups – over the last few months. We set out to give members, friends, and staff an opportunity to influence the decisions we make on candidates to be our next minister. Now it’s time to report out what you told us.
Interdependence and the UUA

UUCC Minister Search Feedback Groups Announcement – UUCC Minister Search Update #3
Hearing from our UUCC members is one of the top priorities for the Minister Search Team. Recently, we released the congregational survey. To date, we have received more than 110 responses. We are looking to get a 60% return, or 313 surveys, by the October 6 deadline. Automated External Defibrillators (AED) Available at UUCC
Thanks to a grant from the Memorial Endowment Trust to the Children and Youth Religious Education program, UUCC now has essential life-saving devices including Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to help in cardiac emergencies and LifeVacs for choking emergencies.
URGENT NEED: A/V Booth Volunteers
We urgently need video volunteers to help capture a dynamic, compelling worship experience that will be shared with members and friends who join us online and audio volunteers to ensure that the sound and screen technology in the sanctuary run smoothly.
